Pattaya's live-music scene is smaller than its rooftop scene. Three verified venues with real blues, jazz, and rock programming — no padding, no invented bars.

Pattaya's live-music scene is smaller and more scattered than its rooftop-bar scene. We could verify three venues currently operating with real live blues/jazz/rock programming — we're not padding the list with invented ones to make it look bigger than it is.

Where can I hear live jazz in Pattaya?

Once in a Blue Moon, a "luxury jazz bar" on the 3rd floor of Royal Garden Plaza on Beach Road, is the clearest jazz-specific listing — confirmed directly in the mall's own tenant directory. Address: 218 M.10, Beach Road, Nongprue, Bang Lamung. It runs daytime-to-evening hours (11am–10pm), which suits an early cocktail-and-live-set outing rather than a midnight session.

What about live blues and rock?

Hot Tuna Bar on Walking Street is the main live rock/blues venue there today; multiple numbered "Hot Tuna" bars share the block, though Hot Tuna 2 has since become a pool hall rather than a music venue. House bands cover classic rock and blues — AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Pink Floyd — in an open-fronted setup that spills onto the street, open 7pm–3:30am. (The older Blues Factory, previously the main rock venue on the same street, has an uncertain current status — we could not confirm it's still operating and left it off this list rather than guess.)

Is there a quieter, more local alternative to Walking Street?

Rolling Live — a small cluster of numbered venues (Rolling Live 2, 3, 4) tucked into the alleys off Soi 7 in Jomtien — is the local-secret pick. Compact stages, jam-session atmosphere, blues and jazz with audience requests, and a noticeably smaller, closer-to-the-band setting than Walking Street.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a cover charge at these venues?

Hot Tuna Bar historically has no cover charge (drinks-only revenue, typical of Walking Street live venues). We don't have confirmed current cover-charge information for Once in a Blue Moon or Rolling Live — check on arrival.

Where can I hear live music earlier in the evening rather than late night?

Once in a Blue Moon is the only one of the three with daytime/early-evening hours (11am–10pm); the other two are late-night-oriented.

Is Walking Street the only place for live music in Pattaya?

No. Jomtien's Soi 7 (the Rolling Live venues) is a real, separate scene — generally smaller and more local than Walking Street.

Is the Blues Factory still open?

We couldn't confirm its current status as of this writing — there's unresolved discussion in Pattaya expat forums about whether it's still operating. Hot Tuna Bar has effectively taken its place as the main live rock venue on Walking Street. Check locally before making it a destination.
