Most Pattaya clubs are looser on entry fees and dress code than guides suggest — and one venue that's constantly mentioned, Marine Disco, closed in April 2023.

Pattaya nightclub entry fees and dress codes are looser than most people expect — and one club you'll see mentioned constantly in older guides has actually closed. Here's the current, verified picture.

What does it cost to get into a Pattaya nightclub?

Most Pattaya clubs charge ฿300–800, usually including one drink. Club Insomnia on Walking Street runs free entry most nights (some weekend nights may require a drink purchase), with drinks priced ฿150–200 and a happy hour from 10pm–midnight cutting prices by half. Tony's Disco currently charges no entry fee at all.

Is there an actual dress code?

Looser than the words "dress code" suggest. Club Insomnia enforces no formal dress code, though smart-casual is recommended. The stricter, more consistent rule across bigger Pattaya clubs generally: flip-flops, sleeveless shirts, and beach shorts can get you turned away, even where there's no posted policy.

Important: Marine Disco is closed — don't go looking for it

Marine Disco was a fixture on Walking Street for over 30 years and still gets mentioned in a lot of nightlife guides (including some of our own older Pattaya content, which we're correcting). It closed in April 2023 and the site was eventually taken over by Boss Club, an Indian/Bollywood-themed nightclub that opened in 2025. Boss Club was then shut down by a multi-agency police raid on September 30, 2025, and its status is currently unresolved. If a guide (ours included, previously) lists Marine Disco as an active venue, treat that as outdated — see our full writeup on what happened to Marine Disco for the full timeline.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to dress up for Pattaya nightclubs?

No formal requirement at most venues, but avoid flip-flops, sleeveless tops, and beach shorts — that combination is the most common reason for being turned away at bigger clubs.

Is Marine Disco still open?

No. It closed in April 2023. The building became Boss Club in 2025, which itself has an uncertain status after a September 2025 police raid. Don't plan a night around either name without checking current status locally first.

What's the cheapest way into a Pattaya club?

Club Insomnia and Tony's Disco both currently have no meaningful entry fee — you're paying for drinks, not a cover charge.
